Calm, clear waters sitting between Bali and Sumbawa in the Lombok Strait. Famous for resident sea turtles at nearly every site, shallow & deep wreck off Gili Trawangan, and coral gardens teeming with reef fish. Occasional sightings include reef sharks and eagle rays. Visibility averages 15 to 30 metres. Suitable for all certification levels, making it one of Indonesia's best destinations for newly certified divers.

Strong upwellings from the Indian Ocean push cold, nutrient-rich water through the Komodo straits, creating some of the most biodiverse diving in the Coral Triangle. Famous for manta rays year-round at Manta Alley, pygmy seahorses, and dense schools of fish on seamounts. Occasional sightings include whale sharks and hammerheads. Advanced Open Water strongly recommended due to unpredictable currents.

Two contrasting dive environments within close reach of each other. Bunaken offers vibrant coral walls and reef systems with strong fish diversity. Lembeh Strait is the world capital of muck diving, famous for rare critters including mimic octopus, frogfish, and flamboyant cuttlefish. Occasional sightings include rhinopias and blue-ringed octopus. Open Water certified; ideal for underwater photographers.

One of Indonesia's rising dive destinations, sitting next to North Sulawesi. Famous for pristine deepwater walls, healthy hard coral formations, and Salvador Dali sponge. Occasional sightings include whale sharks, thresher sharks, and large schools of barracuda. Visibility regularly exceeds 25 metres. Open Water certified; best for divers seeking uncrowded, expedition-style diving.

Located at the heart of the Coral Triangle, Raja Ampat holds the highest recorded marine biodiversity on earth. Famous for dense soft coral reefs, wobbegong sharks, and massive schools of fish that blacken the water at sites like Misool and Dampier Strait. Occasional sightings include whale sharks, manta rays, and dugongs. Open Water minimum; some sites require Advanced certification. Best experienced as a liveaboard expedition.
