Course Overview
What You Will Learn
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course consists of five adventure dives, each introducing a new skill or discipline. Two dives are mandatory: Deep Diving, which qualifies you to 30 metres, and Underwater Navigation, which builds the directional awareness every diver needs at any depth. The remaining three are electives you choose yourself.
At DWM, Advanced Open Water sessions run on weekends at local Batam dive sites or at a destination of your choice. Popular elective combinations for students in this region include Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Photography, and Night Diving. If you have a specific dive destination or experience in mind, I will help you choose specialties that prepare you for it.
This course is not just about going deeper. It is about becoming a more aware, more capable diver. Students who complete Advanced Open Water at DWM consistently describe it as the course that made them feel like a real diver that are confident and ready.
